The Skyline platform’s Events tool allows back-end users to create showing appointments and custom events . Showing events must be associated with a lead, time, and MLS Listing ID (or Rental ID). Custom events require only a title, time, and assigned recipient.

When a lead uses the front end "Schedule A Showing" tool, the scheduled Showing is assigned to the appropriate agent as an Event. If the lead has not been assigned to an agent, the event will automatically be assigned to the primary broker account.

Creating an Event

  1. Click the “Event” button from the Quick Action Toolbar

  2. Choose event type: Showing or “Event”(custom events can have any label you choose)

    1. Showing Events require association with a lead already in the system

  3. Enter additional info; event name, start and end time and date, assigned user, listing ID, and lead name are required; all other fields are optional.

  4. Create Event

  5. Leave the “Receive Email Updates for this Event?” box checked if you would like to receive an update via email every time this event is updated

  6. Check the “Assigned User’s Office Manager Receives Email Updates for this Event?” box if you want the assigned user’s office manager to receive copies of update emails for this event

  7. Click “Create Event” to save changes and create this event

Once an event has been created it will be available in the “Created Events” table. If you assign an event to another user, the user will receive an email indicating that an event has been created for them. This email contains a hyperlink to the full event details. If you create and event for yourself, you will not receive an email update. Your ten events with the nearest start dates will be shown on your Dashboard.

Updating an Event

Events can be updated as often as needed. All update comments are recorded in the full details section of the events; changes such as status require a comment. Any user who receives email updates for an event will be notified via email when an event note is created.
